I cannot wait to work with you! I absolutely adore shooting boudoir and giving women the biggest confidence boost of their lives! It's nerve wracking and it takes courage to get in front of the camera. I am so proud of every person who overcomes those nerves and decides to go for it and do a boudoir shoot. It always pays off! As your photographer (and makeup & hair artist!), I make sure we take time to connect and have a little ice breaking time before it's time to take your clothes off and step in front of a camera! I am very laid back and promise to make you feel comfortable! Your shoot will be fun and light hearted! If you have any questions or concerns, you are always always welcome to reach out to me for anything!
As a licensed cosmetologist of 5 years, it's my job to make sure you look absolutely amazing even before you step in front of the camera! I ask that you arrive to your session with clean, dry hair and a clean, moisturized face. You are more than welcome to come with your own look done if you prefer (I know some people are specific about how their hair and makeup is done - I am totally that person). I recommend bringing your own foundation & lip color (but don't stress if you don't have any - I have plenty!) I provide everything else, including strip eyelashes! However, if you have any other makeup products that you absolutely love, you are more than welcome to bring those too!
You are allowed unlimited outfit changes during your session! I recommend 3-5 outfits to have plenty of variety, but also to avoid spending too much time switching outfits. Don't forget - you also have access to my client closet! I have a variety of body suits, 2 piece sets, body chains, and additional accessories ranging in sizes S-2XL. You are welcome to use these pieces during your shoot! I do ask if you plan to take advantage of my pieces, that you bring a nude & black g string to wear underneath. In addition, if you are nervous about being in lingerie in front of the camera, I recommend bringing a silk robe or something you can slightly cover up with, and we will work our way into the shoot gradually! I'm always available if you want to send me photos of outfit choices to help you pick.
Please note that all of these things are not necessary. I just list them all because they are things to think about for your shoot! Firstly, make sure all of your hair removal needs are done within a day or two before your shoot. You know your skin best, so if you get razor burn or a rash from waxing, you might opt to do hair removal a day or two prior to your shoot as opposed to the morning of. Secondly, either wear clear or no deodorant! In the hours leading up to your shoot, wear loose fitting clothes and a loose fitting bra (or no bra!). This helps reduce any red creases and lines created by tight clothing. I always recommend a manicure & pedicure before your shoot, or just having your finger and toe nails painted. The soles of your feet will appear in some images so keep that in mind! Most importantly, do not stress! Your session is going to be such a fun experience! As always, reach out with any questions you may have!
My home studio is located at 119 S Collins St. Fowlerville, MI 48836. It is a white house with a blue roof. You are welcome to park in the driveway if there is space. Otherwise, you may park right out in front in the street! I do have a medium sized dog that likes to bark and greet people, so if you are uncomfortable with that, please let me know so I can crate him before you arrive.
